There is a tradition to visit graves of loved ones during Aseret Y'mei Teshuvah, the Ten Days of Repentance. Whether you have family or friends buried here or elsewhere, you are invited to come for a brief service. We honor the souls of the departed, those whom we knew well, as well as those unknown or who have no one to remember them. And we pray, that their memories inspire and strengthen us to live meritorious lives. Children and grandchildren may come and experience the importance of remembering/zachor and doing/shamor among other Jewish values.
