A special program with Dana Kramaroff, author of “The Do More Club.”
This program is geared for young people in our community, ages 8-13. Sign up will include a free copy of the book!
In “The Do More Club,” a Jewish boy’s bravery and kindness are tested after an antisemitic attack on his middle school in this rousing novel-in-verse. The book is fast-paced and conversation-starting. Josh’s story is an empowering examination of prejudice, bullying, and how to take the first step toward change.
Dana will lead our youth through a discussion of the book (but it’s ok if they read it after…) and a variety of activities center on kindness and building relationships.
Dana Kramaroff is a life-long writer and second grade teacher in Boyertown. She grew up in the region and remembers coming to Reading for BBYO events. She has been a presenter at a variety of schools, Jewish institutions, and national education conventions. Her book is recommended by the ADL in their “Books Matter” program.
Teens - post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah age, are welcome to come volunteer at the event. Contact [email protected] to sign them up.
